Então usei sudo apt-get dist-upgrade que resultou em:

Tente editar o arquivo sources.list e eliminar as linhas que estão dando erro deletando-as ou simplesmente colocando # (comentando) na frente.

como voce disse, é novato, portanto não se desespere frente a primeira dificuldade, até mesmo porque esta ai voce vai tirar de letra.

não estou com o propósito de dar a solução apenas, mas de fortalecer a sua vontade de achar a solução, então é simples...

Dá uma procurada básica no assunto:

sources.list para Ubuntu 11

Tenho certeza que assim voce vai encontrar a solução, vai conseguir resolver e ainda vai tomar gosto pela "coisa"

troque toda essa bagunça pelo conteúdo desta minha dica:

E se quiser continuar usando o espelho brasileiro, nas linhas onde se vê:

deb http://mirror.rit.edu/ubuntu/ oneiric blah1 blah1.1 blah1.2 blah1.3

troque por:

deb http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric blah1 blah1.1 blah1.2 blah1.3


Ou seja, nas linhas você só vai trocar o endereço, ignore as entradas da release e seções

* acima citei:

blah = release (oneiric)
blah1.1 blah1.2 blah1.3 = seções (universe backport multiverse e etc)


Edite com o Gedit:

$ sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Apague tudo, cole o conteúdo da dica, rode o apt-get update.

Na minha dica os comandos para a importação das chaves GPG estão explícitos, logo abaixo dos nomes dos repositórios, caso dê algum erro retorne com o resultado do apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get update


Com certeza ainda não deve resolver pois parece que você tem alguma coisa lá em /etc/apt/sources.list.d/, para sanar a dúvida rode o seguinte comando e traga o resultado:

$ sudo ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d/


SE você não se importar com o que lá se encontra simplesmente remova!:

$ sudo rm -fv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*

E siga com o apt-get update:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Um outro sources.list mais próximo ao padrão do Ubuntu:

http://www.vivaolinux.com.br/etc/sourceslist

* mais próximo quer dizer, com mais comentários e com os repositórios estando separados.

Também concordo com a troca dos repositórios.

Abra o sorces.list:
$ sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Faça uma cópia destes repositórios, é um arquivo.
Depois delete o original, copie e cole estes indicados pelo Edinaldo.

Salve e feche. Aplique:
$ sudo apt-get update

Pode aparecer mensagens de erros, poste aqui.

Já passei o que você deve fazer:

$ sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

apagar todo o conteúdo e colar o da minha dica, se você não tem permissão para salvar o arquivo provavelmente você esqueceu a senha, pois automaticamente ao usar o 'sudo' no Ubuntu a senha é solicitada.

aproveitando que você ao invê de postar o log aqui postou lá na minha dica, o que vi anteriormente e com o resultado do ls é que o erro apresenta-se na PPA do Chromium, para resolver:

$ sudo rm -fv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/chromium*
$ sudo apt-get update

você editou o log que postou lá na minha dica! por sorte achei o email na lixeira do Opera.

Naquele log o que constava lá em /etc/apt/sources.list.d era isso:

akirad.list

chromiun-daily-ppa-oneiric.list.save

Se você não se importa com isso simplesmente remova tudo:

$ sudo rm -fv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*


Rode o apt-get update:

$ sudo apt-get update


E se algum erro surgir, posta o resultado aqui, junto ao atual estado do seu sources.list:

$ sudo cat /etc/apt/sources.list


No meu sources.list os repositórios partner e medibuntu já estão incluidos sendo dispensáveis os que estão lá em /etc/apt/sources.list.d.


* Se você não conseguir resolver isso ainda hoje, de amanhã em diante estarei em Marte e não poderei responder, mas por sorte algum colega deverá ajudá-lo. Não se desespere isso é simples!
