Ola pessoal estou tentando instalar o postgresql mas da esse erro nao sei o que fazer:
Eu abaixei o pacote postgresql-8.4.1 extrai os arquivos e quando executo o comando ./configure chega ate um ponto e nao sei oque fazer nao entende mesmo oque fazer.

vc está usando Ubuntu?
apt-get install postgresql-8.3

Para compilá-lo você precisará da 'libreadline' e da 'zlib'.
Ou se não quiser usá-las:

./configure --without-readline --without-zlib
