Problema ao iniciar o Ubuntu com mensagem Give Root password for maintenace

Ola pessoal estou com um problema em dos computadores do laboratório de onde trabalho, já tentamos de tudo e não conseguimos solucionar o problema.

Ao iniciar o Ubuntu aparece a mensagem:

Filesystens check or mount failed.
A maintenance shell will now be started.
CONTROL-D will terminate this shell and continue booting after re-trying filesystems. Any further error will be ignored
Give Root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue):
