Beleza.. vamos de novo. Estou considerando que você tenha instalado (conforme os passos anteriores) os pacotes linux-headers-generic, build-essential e o git.

Faça:

git clone https://github.com/gnab/rtl8812au.git

cd ~/rtl8812au

make

sudo make install

sudo modprobe 8812au

Após executar estes passos, entre nas configurações de rede e tente adicionar sua rede wireless. Alternativamente, verifique se a interface está ativa com o comando ifconfig ou o ip link. Verifique também se o rfkill bloqueou algo com o comando rfkill list all.

Se ainda assim não funcionar, tente:

Dentro da pasta rtl8812au execute:

make

sudo insmod 8812au.ko

sudo cp 8812au.ko /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/net/wireless

sudo depmod

Após estes procedimentos verifique se há alguma interface wireless ativa (geralmente wlan0). Tente também adicionar uma rede wireless através das configurações de rede.

Após cada um dos passos, se quiser reiniciar a máquina, fique à vontade. Às vezes é preciso...

Qualquer erro durante os procedimentos, copie-os e depois informe-os aqui, por favor.

Cara ajudou pacas, nem o driver da fornecido pelo próprio fabricante estava funcionando.
Esses cara que usa GENTOO tem fama de ser zica, e agora eu comprovo isso!!
