Ola pessoal, estou com um probleminha, sou novo no universo linux e escolhi a distro matriux para aprender, instalei esta distro mas ela nao reconhece minha placa de video nvidia gforce nem minha placa wireless sera que tem como alguem me ajudar? estou sem net cabeada soh wireless do meu visinho rsrss.
O Matriux esta rodando em dual boot com o windows 7 aero.

Testa o Ubuntu 10.04, Mandriva ou Linux Mint pra ver. Essa distro aí foi a primeira vez q ouvir alguém falar, e de acordo como site ainda ta na versão Beta. As q to indicando sao consagradas e muito indicadas para iniciar no linux, e tem versões recentes do Kernel Linux, com suporte a bastante hardwares.

Também acho que vc gostaria mais do Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Mint.

Estas distros menos conhecidas tem menor numero de foruns, artigos, colaboradores e etc...

Olham como primeira distro, eu usaria o Mint, porque com ele, provável não vai precisar configurar nada

Ola pessoal, obrigado pela atenção de voces, andei lendo alguns artigos e tuto e ate concordo que ubuntu seria mais facil mas...nao sei se estou certo,...me parece que a aceitação dos drivers é de acordo com o kernel e nao com a distro em si, e como,..."nao sei se estou certo novamente"..., me parece que o Martriux é desenvolvido nas bases do Ubuntu-Debian, dai entaum se o meu hard for compativel com o Ubuntu tb o sera com o Matriux.

Só pra constar instalei o Ubuntu 9.10 acho que é essa a versao e ele tb nao aceitou a placa de video nem a wireless, mas enquanto eu estava soh testando no cd apareceu uma tela informando sobre o driver proprietario, mas quando instalei nao apareceu mais essa tela.tipo popup.

Dai entaum voutei para o Matriux, pra quem nao conhece ele tem ambiente KDE tipo a do Kubuntu heheheh instalei esse tb rsrsrs mas deu o mesmo problema. Apesar de nao conhecer muito de linux achei uma boa distro, encontrei um arquivo nela, nao me recordo onde, que ensina um pouco sobre os comando, vou postar aqui uns que vi em tuto e neste arquivo, que me parece que sera util para a configuração dos drivers.

Desculpe pelos topicos, vou ficar aguardando uma solução e vou dar uma olhada nos forums do ubuntu...
ah me parece que tem um tal de ndiswrapper mas no cd que eu baixei nao tem ele ou pelo menos quando dou # apt-get install ndiswrapper ele fala que nao achou o arquivo
segui o tuto pulando esta parte mas nao adiantou.
se nao tiver me dar uma luz para minha wireless sem o ndiswrapper, poderiam me esplicar como posso usar o driver do windows pra conectar usando ele? nao queria usar o windows mas fazer oq neh.

Sim, o matriux tem suas bases no ubuntu.
Já tentou baixar os drivers para tua placa de vídeo e wireless ?!

mas nao sei oque fazer com ele e o driver da placa de video eu nem sei onde baixar
