dificuldade em usar o ubuntu 8.04 [RESOLVIDO]

Por favor me ajudem, eu não sei mai oque fazer, vc acreditam que já faz 15 dias que instalei o ubuntu 8.04 e até agora não consegui fazer nada, todo comando que eu faço como por exemplo, instalar um programa no apt-get sempre aparece assim arqivo ou pasta inexistente, já tentei descompactar arquivos mas sempre diz a mesma coisa, enfim pra mim o sudo ñ funciona eu uso no modo rot, baixei o scanmodem para tentar usar a internet (arquivo ou pasta inexistente)sou novo no linux me deem uma luz please...

Vai no console e digita apt-get install NomedoPrograma

ja´tentei mas sempre da arquivo ou diretório inexistente, já ñ sei oque fazer, estou quase desistindo e ficando com meu rwindows, nao consigo ouvir música nem videos, baixei o win32 não consegui instalar

tenho muita vontade de ser fera do sistema mas te meio complicado, principalmente executar os comandos

Não se preocupa não fera! no início as coisas são meio complicadas mesmo. Eu mesmo já passei por isso!

Bom dia antes de mais nada de uma olhada no seu source.list.

Após abrir como root
(ex: Apertando Alt + F2 e digitando gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list),
adicionar o conteúdo e salvar, abra o terminal, entre como root dando o comando su... depois faça aptitude update

Chegando ate aqui otimo:

Eu usava esta como esta abaixo basta colar e copiar (tomando cuidado para não repetir o que ja tem na sua lista
