Placa de Vídeo Intel GM965

Pessoal comprei um notebook da marca GIGABYTE e tirei o windows Vista pra usar o Ubuntu 8.04. Bem, estou com um probleminha para instalar o drive da placa de vídeo. A placa 'chipset" é Intel GM965 da plataforma Santa Rosa. Eu sei o comando lspci e saiu a siguinte configuração:

Como faço para instalar e configurar de froma correta meu notebook? Porfavor me informe detalhadamente todos os passos que devo fazer para uma perfeita instalação pois sou iniciante nesse mundo do Linux.

Be, respondendo a questao da placa de video , saia do modo grafico e depois digite X -configure o X e maiusculo mesmo depois copie mv /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf!! OBsz Para sair do modo grafico aperte ctrl+alt+f9
