foi só mudar o gerenciador de pastas que estava usando para acessar os arquivos que o pendrive abriu...

Usei o gnome-disk-utility
formatei para fat32 meu pendrive kingston 32gb.
Abrindo pelo nautilus não consigo fazer nada mais pelo nemo funciona normal.'

Olá turma faz um tempão que não participo do fórum, só leio. Vim para dizer que tive o mesmo prolema do pendrive sem permissões e resolvi como o colega Heliosal ensinou, editei o arquivo /etc/fstab, e para minha surpresa a linha " /dev/sdb1 /media/usb0 auto
rw,sync,user,noauto,umask=000 0 0" simplesmente não existia, bom , ainda não reiniciei para ver, mas deu certo, mas as permissões ficam como root, mas pelo menos fica liberado para leitura e escrita, ainda não testei no Windows, vou ver, mas pelo menos no Ubuntu 15.10 aqui, funcionou.

Meu pendrive desconectou acidentalmente enquanto estava transferindo arquivos para ele. Mesmo erro, não permite nenhum tipo de escrita, nem mesmo root.

Triste fim...

Deu o mesmo problema aqui, eu fui lá no fórum inglês e tentei tudo TUDO que eles falaram lá, só que as saidas do cara foram diferentes das minhas. Caso vs estejam curiosos:
*Tenta sudo umount /dev/sdb1

O problema deve ser no nautilus pois quando usei o nemo para gravar arquivos no pendrive deu tudo certo

Se nenhuma destas opções já citadas resolver seu problema, simplesmente use o comando "cp" pelo terminal e mova o arquivo. Dará certo mesmo vc não estando como super usuário.
No meu caso consegui mover alguns arquivos da pasta "Download" para o pendrive simplesmente com o comando:

cp *.zip /media/lukan/New/

"New" era o nome do meu pendrive
