@Vincent.
I see that one of the "parts" 2 pages, was complete.

today, i logged, and translated other 2 pages (the other requested website, home-page) but the system no more saves the results.

All of my translation work, that i made today, was loosed!

I write some Italian, but i write bad ITalian.

I've not understood what's happen. When you write a translation, do you tick the circle ?

Could you retry for one string please ?

I navigate, enter in this site:

http://codingteam.net/project/movim/i18n

(as prior i made in this other page:
http://codingteam.net/project/movim_website/i18n)

Choose "Portuguese", then login,

translate strings, click in the button translate, and the translation is not saved, is lost.

I tried again 2 minutes ago.

Tried again, today, saturday.
negative, translations not saved.

I noticed that many strings already translated to Portuguese are currently missing.
And albfneto's nick has also disappeared as well as mine.

Hi all,

I don't know, i can be totally wrong, but the project leaders i talked with on Jappix chat (the link Vicent gave us in a previous post) seems not professional. The impression i had was something like "kids playing with programming". :-(

Talking about translations... Teixeira and Alberto, do you contribute with LibreOffice translation? I know our friend Fábio Farias is a contributor already. :-)

Regards,
Júlio.

Hi albfneto, hi Teixeira :)

There was a problem, it would now be repaired, do you still notice problems with the platform? You work both on the same language, pay attention to the number of revisions : it may be that you edit the translations of each other!

julio_hoffimann, oh yes indeed we are not professionals, no one pays us not to do this work. A team of contributors, this means that we don't have necessarily the experience, but we have the motivation to do this software.

If you take the time to download the source and read the code, you will realize that it is commented and that the code is pretty well written. But if you estimate that you are not "a child playing with the programming" you could get involved and give us all your expertise ;)

The important is that finally, someone decided to make a real alernative to Facebook, decentralized and with added value, that doesn't make it a single clone.

Here is Movim in portuguese, the last update was yesterday (i'm not sure) : http://movim.eu/home&l=pt
Is there any correction to do ?

Hi Vincent,

Sorry, i was rude. What i wanted to say is that Movim is an important project in Free Software community and sometimes we need to be serious to make other people interested in contribute.

I really appreciate your initiative, good luck!

Regards,
Júlio.

Hi, Julio!
at the level of my knownledge, LibreOffice is now totally translated to Brazilian Portuguese.

My main translation works are: I translated the Sabayon Linux installer to Brazilian Portoguese, the official translator of Necoro's Portato (the GUI for Gentoo's Portage), one of the translators of Mozilla Firefox, and I also translated some aplicatives od Sabayon, (from Italian, as Smart Downloadmania and Smart Packet Mania.
But i'm not a Coder or TI profissional, I'm a Chemist.

Vincent, me and Teixeira, nor exact the same language. I translate to Brazilian Portuguese and Teixeira also.
But i dont Know Galician or Catalan.
i read well Spanish bu i dont write Spanish,
I also read well French, Italian, but i write "bad French" and "bad Italian")
i also read some German, some words, but i dont write it.

About Galician and Catalan translations:

I'm making the best efforts I can do.
However i'm not a native, and possibly there'll be a need of some trimming, but then the most of the job will be done already and maybe some native people can join us and help to trim it around.

Even the Portuguese translations doesn't seem very accurate sometimes.
For example, 'Um protocolo para a todos governar' is fairly understandable, but it's not 'good' Portuguese.
Something like 'One protocol for over all to rule', or so.

albfneto, thanks, these languages are unfortunatly translated, but you could help with talking in your language on other forums or blogs ;) That we need.

julio_hoffimann, no problem ;) Thank you for your encouragements, we hope to really produce a quality software that will live up to expectations =)

Teixeira, your help is very very invaluable because we have absolutely no one able to translate those languages, even poorly translated !

If people feel that your translation is not perfect, they are quite interested in the project to be curious to participate, and it will be thanks to you!

I invite you to fix (make revisions) to the translations you estimate poorly translated, but careful to keep the original meaning of the sentence =)

Good luck!

http://codingteam.net/project/movim_website/i18n

But in this:

http://codingteam.net/project/movim/i18n

when i try to translate, the system not saves and looses all modifications.
