O que é o source.list? Acho que a minha corrompeu e não consigo mecher no apt-get update, etc.
Me desculpe se errei na informação, sou um pouco leigo no assunto.

apt-get update
E: Tipo 'Add' não é conhecido na linha 1 na lista de fontes /etc/apt/sources.list
E: A lista de fontes não pode ser lida.

isso que dá /\

Se alguém tiver do Ubuntu 12.04 LTS poderia me passar desde já obrigado.

# Esses links são dos repositórios do seu Linux, ou seja, são nesses links
que o Ubuntu procura os programas disponíveis, baixa e instala.

Deve ter alguma coisa errada no seu arquivo "source.list",
então poste o resultado do comando citado acima:

Olá, coloquei o comando
sudo apt-get update e foi normal.
E agora? esse comando ele baixa alguma coisa se sim como instala? sudo apt-get upgrade ???

O comando atualiza esta lista com novos pacotes (desde que disponíveis nos links [ou repositórios]).

O sudo apt-get upgrade vai instalar novas versões destes pacotes e se disponível, vai atualizar o sistema também.

Mas não precisa aplicar estes comandos sempre, seu sistema avisará das atualizações disponíveis.

Alguma ideia de como resolver esse problema? Eu não consigo abrir o Central de Programas depois que tentei instalar o VirtualBox... Agora não consigo instalar ou atualizar mais nada.
