Video ATI Slackware 13.37

Olá pessoal,

Estou tendo uma certa dificuldade para instalar os drivers da minha placa de vídeo.
Segui um tutorial aqui no VOl mas ainda estou com problemas.

Segue informações:

Eu uso placa de vídeo ATI, e o slack detectou tudo automaticamente. O seu é a HD 4200 certo? Já pegou o drive no site da ATI?

Usa o chmod +x drive_ATI

depois roda o script deles.

@rugal_bernstein, foi exatamente isso que fiz. Baixei o arquivo .bin e instalei. Aparece o gerenciador da ATI mas mesmo assim não consigo executar nenhum aplicativo que rode 3D nem os efeitos da area de trabalho.

Aqui eu uso um .run
estou no slack com efeitos do compiz, como transparência do terminal, etc.

o Slack reconheceu tudo normalmente, como o amigo ali comentou, mas instalando o modulo os fps melhoraram.

Apesar de deixar fazer a instalação em modo gráfico, eu fiz em modo texto mesmo, como geralmente recomendam.

Opa, desculpa. Fiz confusão com a extensão.
Mas o driver foi esse baixado direto do site da ati.

Meu Slackware é o 64bits.

Mesmo assim, eu usava o slack de 64 bits em casa, mais por causa da compatibilidade de alguns programas acabei trocando pela de 32 bits, e ambas detectavam tudo automaticamente. Pode ser também alguma coisa no X, tenta no terminal o X -configure, ele deve criar um arquivo molde novo, dando erro ou não, veja se encontra o item "fglrx" no arquivo de configuração do X, ele fica lá em/etc/X11/xorg.conf-vesa.

Então, fiz o procedimento que você falou e esse é o resultado:
