1. Problemas ao rodar o vmware WS7

me descupem, mas não encontrei nenhuma outra comunidade para enviar o meu problema. Instalei o vmware workstation 7 no meu fedora com o kernel 2.6.31. A instalaćão foi tudo ok, porém toda vez que inicio o vmware ele fica compilando alguns modulos dele e não sei o que fazer, já busquei de tudo na net mas nada resolvu o meu problema. Segue um log detalhado do que está ocorrendo. Desde já agradeco a ajuda.

Primeiro lembre-se de ter a fonte do kernel instalado ....

depois tenta instalar os modulos manualmente...


vmware-modconfig –console –install-all

e veja se nãoi aparece nenhum erro de segfault

uma outra dica que encontrei mas era para a versão do fedora 10, seria apagar os modulos antigos se tiver instalado outra versão anterior.


mv /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary.old

vmware-modconfig –console –install-all

Eu já tinha feito tudo isso, mas mesmo assim ele sempre pede para recompilar os módulos do kernel.
Eu tenho os fontes do kernel, pois eu já tinha atualizado para a versão 2.6.31.
Uma coisa que reparei é que depois de mover a pasta binary ele não criou ela novamente. Será por isso que tá dando esse problema?

O que vc dv fazer primeiramente é desinstalar tudo referente a VM, depois atualizar seu repositório, feito isso deverá baixar a versão compatível com o compilador C, depois tenta atualizar alguns drivers de sua máq.
Quando fazer todos esse procedimentos tenta instalar novamente a VM e depois compilar. Caso a dúvida persiste vá até o site da VM e encontre alguns howto lá com certeza terá informações mais detalhadas sobre o assunto.
