Olá a todos. Estou tentando insalar o VMware no Ubuntu 8.04 mas aparece um erro que não consigo interpretar. Alguém pode me ajudar? O erro é o seguinte:

make[2]: ** [/tmp/vmware-config8/vmmon-only/common/cpuid.o] Erro 1

temos k instalar os seguintes pacotes antes:
# sudo aptitude install xinetd
# sudo aptitude install build-essential
# sudo aptitude install linux-headers-server
# sudo aptitude install linux-headers-generic

Depois instalamos o VMware mas nao configuramos pk precisamos de instalar o patcn "any-any" :

# tar xzf VMware-server-1.0.5-80187.tar.gz -C /tmp
# cd /tmp/vmware-server-distrib
# sudo ./vmware-install.pl

Depois instalamos o patch "any-any" mas devemos fazer o rebuild e update.
O link de download do patch e : http://groups.google.com/group/vmkernelnewbies/files
Fazer download do ficheiro de nome
'vmware-any-any-update-116.tgz'

Instalar o patch
# tar xzf vmware-any-any-update116.tar.gz -C /tmp
# cd /tmp/vmware-any-any-update116
# gcc -o update update.c
# sudo ./runme.pl

Depois de instalar executar :

sudo cp /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 /usr/lib/vmware/lib/libgcc_s.so.1/

sudo cp /usr/lib/libpng12.so.0 /usr/lib/vmware/lib/libpng12.so.0/
