Eu sou iniciante mas já tinha conseguido instalar o slackware 10 algumas vezes, agora com a versão 11 estou tento o seguinte problema:
Tentei com o Kernel 2.4.33.3 mas no meu pc ele trava e nem instala, tentei com o Kernel 2.6.17.13 ai instalou mas não reconheceu o meu HD Sata, instalei com o 2.6.18 ai reconheceu o Sata depois da instalação eu instalei os modules, headers e sources do cd. Configurei o xorconfig.
Mas quando eu tento dar um startx, ele aparece o seguinte erro:

vc configurou o teu hd no comeco da instalacao do slack? cuando ele pede pra config seu ha vc digitou sata.i? porque eu instalei em varias maquinas com discos sata e nao apareceu nenhum problema...

isso em base ao modulo de ajuda do pacote de instalacao do cd do slack, ao digitar F2 ele mostra as opcoes de configuracao de discos SCSI, Sata, no-Sata IDE/ATApi y controladores RaiD.
