Problema na rede wireless após atualização do Slackware 14.2

Realizei uma atualização no sistema, usando a rede wireless, logo após que instalei o SO.
Depois de realizar a atualização dei um reboot na máquina e aí veio a surpresa.
Depois que voltou, o sistema não reconhece mais o dispositivo wireless do notebook. Praticamente como se eu tivesse desinstalado.

Alguém poderia me auxiliar?

estava funcionando até atualizar, agora, quando dou um ifconfig nem aparece o dispositivo.

-tive problemas parecido no Debian quando atualizei kernel manualmente que não deu muito certo
-resolvi reiniciando por um kernel antigo

Eu tenho uma atheros e também tive o mesmo problema. Resolvi removendo o pacote novo kernel-firmware-20180913_44d4fca-noarch-1.txz e instalando o antigo, kernel-firmware-20160628git-noarch-1.txz.

Baixa o pacote por aqui:
https://packages.slackware.com/?r=slackware64-14.2&p=kernel-firmware-20160628git-noarch-1.txz

Depois remove o pacote novo com o slackpkg e dá um installpkg no pacote antigo. Aí é só reiniciar e pronto.

Tenho essa mesma placa QCA9377 em um notebook Lenovo Ideapad 310.

Aconteceu esse problema no current há algumas semanas.
Porém tudo se resolveu com a atualização do kernel-firmware algum tempo depois.

Aqui aparecia assim:


E parece que teve mais gente com o mesmo problema:
