baixei o jogo quake 4 ele veio .run instalei normalmente dps na hora de executar da isso :

dps disso não acontece nada não sei o q pode ser sou meio novo no linux preciso de ajuda pq queria fazer gameplay desse jogo e mandar o video para o youtube.

Então cara, o Quake é um jogo pago, é possível baixar o instalador gratuitamente, mas os arquivos com os dados do jogo, com as texturas, níveis, etc.. não são, você precisa ter comprado o DVD, os CD's, ou a versão do steam. Até por isso que eu tinha testado aqui com a versão demo.

É o mesmo com o Doom (independente da versão, se é II, III, etc) em que até mesmo o código é livre mas os dados das fases, e tal, precisam ser comprados.

Olá, você já pesquisou sobre esses erros na internet? Em dois tópicos em que as pessoas estavam com um problema parecido, o problema era com a libstdc++:

Para ter certeza que esse é mesmo o problema você pode fazer o que o jogo sugeriu e mudar o valor da variável de ambiente LIBGL_DEBUG para verbose, assim:

export LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose

E depois rode o jogo de novo, ele deve exibir mais informações sobre o erro, coloque a saída aqui para podermos ver se é isso mesmo.

E, como você instalou os drivers da placa de vídeo? Outros jogos funcionam normal? Poste também a saída do comando:
glxinfo | grep render
pra ver se a aceleração por hardware está ativada.

Também seria bom saber se o seu sistema é de 32 ou 64 bits.

Parece que o erro é mesmo similar ao dos links que eu passei, você está usando o driver open source da ati e o jogo vem com uma versão muito antiga da libstdc++ que é incompatível com o driver.

tente fazer o seguinte:

sudo mv /usr/local/games/quake4-demo/libstdc++.so.6 /usr/local/games/quake4-demo/libstdc++.so.6_backup


Isso irá renomear a biblioteca libstdc++ que veio com o jogo, o objetivo é que ele não ache ela e então use a versão correta que é a do sistema, caso ele continue dando erro, poste a saída aqui. (Talvez seja preciso criar um link para a biblioteca do sistema, mas não tenho certeza)

Não sei se entendi direito o que você falou sobre o seu sistema, você está usando um Linux 32 bits e o seu computador é de 64, é isso?

obs.: No comando eu considerei que você instalou o jogo no diretório padrão.

obs2.: O comando era "glxrender | grep render" tudo junto, o "|" é um 'pipe' pra redirecionar a saída do comando glxrender para o comando grep, que filtraria a saída para que só a linha em que aparecia a palavra "render" fosse mostrada. Mas como era só pra filtrar a saída, não faz diferença. (era só como o pelo de gato preto na fórmula de invisibilidade do seu madruga rs)

fiz o comando tive que mudar uma coisa por causa que meu quake e full dps que tentei abrir pelo terminal deu isso:
./quake4.x86: libgcc_s.so.1: version `GCC_4.2.0' not found (required by /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6)

e isso mesmo eu uso 32bits so q o pc tem suporte a 64bits.

Agora ele não está conseguindo modificar o diretório oculto dele no seu home, tente usar:

chmod -R 777 /home/joguistas/.quake4

Isso irá dar permissões totais ao diretório .quake4 e aos arquivos e diretórios dentro dele.


obs.: Acho que provavelmente não precisaria ser 777 (permite que todos leiam escrevam e executem o conteúdo desse diretório), mas mal não vai fazer também.
