1. Problema de conexão? Erros ao rodar apt-get update [RESOLVIDO]

Ola
Estou com o seguinte problema:
A conexao no navegador funciona, porem a conexao via terminal (quado mando 'sudo apt-get update', por exemplo) nao funciona.
O que devo fazer?
Entrei no arquivo /etc/resolv.conf e acrescentei
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 4.2.2.2
Vi isso num topico ai... antes de fazer isso, nem a conexao no navegador estava funcionando.

    Neste caso, lhe recomendo fazer backup dos dados e atualizar seu ambiente para a atual versão LTS do Ubuntu, a 14.04.

    Talvez alguma regra de firewall?? Digite o comando
    iptables -L


    e poste o resultado.

    sua conexão passa por algum proxy antes de sair pra internet ? o comando iptables que amigo indicou no post anterior precisa ter antes o comando sudo ou estar logado como root para poder listar as regras. cole aqui pra gente tb a saida do comando sudo route -n

    Mesclando seus dois tópicos, no outro sobre o mesmo problema (Removi para melhor organização do fórum), postou a versão do Ubuntu, que é a 14.10, que ja esta sem suporte, o que deve ser a causa dos erros.

    boa siga a dica do erisrjr o problema é no source.list da versão desatualizada, provavelmente o servidor não esta mais disponível. não é problema de conexão

    Obrigado pela dica... coloquei a versão 14.04 e deu tudo certo. Eu pensava que pelo simples fato de 14.10 ser uma versão mais recente do Ubuntu que 14.04, ela seria melhor.
    Não sabia nada sobre fim de suporte de versões.
    Obrigado a todos pela rápida mobilização em ajudar.
