1. Não consigo ver video no meu PC

Olá galera, sou novo aqui, estou com um problema e gostaria da ajuda de vcs. Uso o Ubunto 9.10 e quando executo um arquivo de video avi,flv, ou outro qualquer, o player simplismente abre e fecha logo, sem rodar o arquivo. Tenho instalado no meu pc o amarok e o Reprodutor de Filmes que já vem no ubunto.

já digitei o comando: "$ amarok MOV000006.avi" e me retornou isso:

o vai no gerenciador de pacotes synaptic e ve se vc tem algum pacotes chamado:

totem-gstreamer

se nao tive estalado instale-o

ajudei...tomara!

Pela sua mensagem vc tá tentando abrir um vídeo com um player de áudio, assim não dá!

Se vc tentar:

mplayer arquivo.avi # OK
vlc arquivo.avi # OK
totem arquivo.avi # OK

No caso o Reprodutor de Filmes que vc se referiu deve ser o Totem, pois ele costuma ter esse nome.
