Problema com resolução de tela no Xubuntu 18

Gente, eu instalei a ultima versão do Xubuntu e estou com problemas na resolução, eu já tentei de todas as formas mas não consigo configurar, sou iniciante e meu notebook é bem antigo, por favor me ajudem. Ela está em 640x480 e não sei qual a resolução maxima do meu notebook, por favor me ajudem.

Ola,

entre no terminal, digite primeiro o comando lspci e mostre para nós o que aparece...

e depois, também pelo terminal, digite o comando xrandr e mostre (em separado ao lspci) o que aparece...

Abra o arquivo /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Se esse arquivo não existir, é necessário criá-lo.

sudo mousepad /etc/X11/xorg.conf 

sudo touch /etc/X11/xorg.conf #Para criar o arquivo caso o mesmo não exista 

Dentro desse arquivo adicione essas linhas:

Section "Device"

        Identifier      "Configured Video Device"

        Driver          "vesa"

EndSection

 

Salve as alterações e reinicie o computador.

Nossa, muito obrigado cara, funcionou, só deixou com um pouco de lag, mas funcionou, valeu mesmo
