Tenho um MP4 DL ELETRÔNICOS V5, utilizo o Ubuntu Gutsy e Windows XP. O problema é: quando tento conectar meu MP4 quando estou no linux, ele simplesmente não reconhece! O problema não é o cabo, nem as portas, pois no windows ele funciona perfeitamente. No Gutsy, já fiz de tudo: tentei todas as portas, fiz lsusb e só aparece a webcam. Tentei montá-lo, mas não deu em nada. Formatei-o pelo windows e nada adiantou.Como fazê-lo funcionar?
Minha placa é a Asus P5VDC-X, meu HD é sata.

Humm..... aparentemente o driver usb não está reconhecendo. No repositório do ubuntu há uns drivers mp3.Talvez seja o caso tentar instalar uns desses drivers.
De uma olhada nisso:

Pesquise no google o site do fabricante.

Olhei este tópico http://pank.org/blog/archives/000133.html
para ver se não conseguia recarregar os módulos usb, mas nem o modprobe usb-uhci nem o modprobe usb-ohci dão certo. ocorre um erro:
FATAL: Module usb_uhci not found.
FATAL: Module usb_ohci not found.

No site do fabricante é dito que o mp4 é reconhecido pelo windows, já enviei um e-mail para os mesmos e ainda aguardo resposta.

além desses erros já citados, ainda tenho outros:

rmmod usb-uhci

ERROR: Module usb_uhci does not exist in /proc/modules

rmmod sd_mod
ERROR: Module sd_mod is in use

rmmod scsimon
ERROR: Module scsimon does not exist in /proc/modules

rmmod scsi_mod

modprobe scsimon

Faz o seguinte, conecta o MP4 na USB e digita dmesg. Copia pra gente as últimas linhas referentes ao USB.

Como vc tentou montar ? Será que não funciona igual ao um pendrive (to chutando).

Outra coisa, use o insmod, colocando o caminho completo do driver em vez do modprobe. As vezes é melhor ;)

Eu montei fazendo o que outros tutoriais sugerem, pois é igual a um pendrive:

$ sudo mount -tvfat /dev/sdc1 (como meus 2 HDs são sata, ou seja, tem sda1, sdb1 entre outros, devido ao particionamento - Já tentei montar com /dev/usb1;/dev/usb2;/dev/usb3;/dev/usb4;/dev/usb5, todos sem sucesso) /media/mp4


Quando eu faço lsusb, só aparece minha webcam:

Nao conhecia esse comando lsusb, bem legal !!

Olha, eu fiz um teste aqui e depois de colocar o pendrive aparece a seguinte mensagem no dmesg.

#dmesg
...
Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices

usb-storage: device found at 5

Ou seja, ele atribuiu ao meu pendrive um drive scsi, que no meu caso foi o sdb1. No seu caso, nada apareceu certo ? Estranho pq as distribuições normalmente vem configuradas para fazer essas coisas automaticamente.

Tenta o seguinte:
#insmod /lib/modules/2.6.18-4-686/kernel/drivers/usb/storage/usb-storage.ko

So muda a versao do kernel para o que vc usa !!!!
Depois disso coloque o MP4 e verifique se mudou alguma coisa no dmesg !!

É, ainda não deu...
primeiro eu executei:
# insmod /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/storage/libusual.ko

pois estava aparecendo um erro do tipo: Caracteres inválidos no módulo, mas depois desse comando, deu para executar

# insmod /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/storage/usb-storage.ko

normalmente. digitei dmesg e apareceu a mesma coisa, só que haviam linhas diferentes, dizendo que usbcore havia sido carregado...

E agora? Agradeço muito a ajuda que estão me dando até então!!

Desculpe a Demora!

Tentei carregar todos os drivers, sim! usei modprobe e insmod, mas não deu certo. Estou ficando frustrado.
Enviei um e-mail para o site do fabricante, mas creio que não vou receber resposta.

Será que tenho chances? =)
