Problema com apt-get update [RESOLVIDO]

Prezados, sou novo no vol, e tambem sou novo em linux...
eu instalei a verção nova do ubunto, o kubunto 10.04 LTS em ingles
e estou tendo problema fazer instalação de pacotes.

Eu procurei no forum e não achei nem topico com o mesmo erro que o meu, caso algum passou despercebio, peço desculpa por fazer um topico ja existe...

se eu tentar instalar algum outro pacote como o gcc tambem não consigo da esse erro, e eu não sei o que pode ser.

Outra coisa,

se voc&#7869; tivesse conseguido instalar o GCC, simplesmente o kernel-headers iria pro saco, assim você não conseguiria instalar módulos de placas de vídeos e outras coisinhas mais.

Também tem como deixar o Kubuntu em pt_BR, acho que é assim:

$ sudo apt-get install language-pack-kde-pt-base language-pack-kde-pt language-pack-pt-base language-pack-pt language-support-pt language-support-writing-pt locales

Então..

eu utilizei o sorces.list que foi enviado, tentei das tres maneiras, porem não funcionou, dai o meu sorces.list estava igual ao descrito abaixo, porem com .br, eu passei para .us, e continua dando o mesmo problema...

bem, por algum motivo, pelo browser eu consigo acessar a net, porem pelo terminal, eu dei o ping www.google.com e não consegue pingar..

pode ser por isso que todos os outros comandos falham....

eu posso estar qto termpo for e não pinga, se eu der control + C para cancelar, ele mostra que todos os pacotes enviados foram perdidos....

Só faltou responder, se tem conexão com a internet, se está por trás de um proxy.


* antes de tentar um dist-upgrade, tente somente com a opção padrão:

$ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade


* Se ainda assim não conseguir, abra o Synaptic e clique em "Reecarregar listas de pacotes".


* Outra possibilidade é ser problema de DNS, desconecte-se da internet e tente colocar os do OpenDNS:

$ sudo gedit /etc/resolv.conf

Adiciona isso:

nameserver 208.67.222.222
nameserver 208.67.220.220

ou os DNS do Google:

nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 4.4.4.4

$ sudo chattr +i /etc/resolv.conf

Bem, de fato, apos fazer esse teste, depois fui lembrar que estava conectado por proxy ...
Hoje, assim que retornar para casa, não estarei conectado atras de proxy, dai eu tento reproduzir os testes, para ver se continua dando o mesmo problema...
