Meu programa não conecta no banco de dados! AJUDA! [RESOLVIDO]

Bom dia pessoal!

É meu primeiro topico por isso não sei se estou no lugar correto!

Eu tenho um programinha q eu estou fazendo no netbeans e na hora de conectar ao firebird ele apresenta erro (problema na conexão com a fonte de dados)

E no Windows alterando o caminho funciona normal!

Eu intalei o JDK e o JRE o Firebird 2.1 e add as bibliotecas java no netbeans q faltava e msm assim não vai!

Sera que alguem poderia me ajudar??
Não sei se é o caminho q esta errado ou alguma configuração...se nescessario eu posto o codigo da conexão com o banco para voces darem uma olhada!

Voce ja viu se o Firebird está subindo ?
com o comando ps -aux

Ainda estou aprendendo mexer no linux(Ubuntu 10.10)
Sei muito pouco...oque seria esse termo "subindo" e este comando?

Como verifico isto?

O rodrigo quis dizer pra você ver se o firebird está rodando, vá num terminal e digite o comando passado por ele, depois veja se há o processo relativo ao firebird na lista que aparecer.

Depois do serviço hora q eu chegar em casa vou testar este comando!

Assim que eu fizer istou eu aviso por aqui oq deu e passo o codigo completo qualquer coisa!

O comando ps -aux mostra os programas/processos que estartaram(subiram), se voce usar o "ps -aux |grep firebird", vai aparecer algo como /bin/firebird ou /opt/firebird... isso se o firebird subiu.

Logo abaixo esta a parte do codigo que conecata no Banco de dados...talvez eu errei na hora de digitar o caminho não sei!
O arquivo .FDB esta em uma pasta chamada Banco na pasta home/adriano!
Sempre que eu tento executar da erro e aparece a msg que eu defini, "Problema na Conexão com a Fonte de Dados"!

Crie está classe e faça um teste de conexão e reporte se houver erro!

Nao deu certo tambem!

Acredito que nao seja erro das classes pois no windows funciona!

So no ubuntu que ele nao conssegue conectar no banco!

Alguem tem alguma ideia para me ajudar?

Só uma coisa, a instalação do firebird você fez seguindo algum tuto?

Nao..eu instalei o firebird usando o apt-get....Firebird 2.1!

Depois eu baixei os pacotes java JDK e JRE e instalei e add as bibliotecas que faltavam no Netbeans!

Nao entendo porque aqui nao roda e no windowws roda normal!
