1. Pendrive "travando" no processo de copiar arquivos [RESOLVIDO]

Olá pessoas, estou com o seguinte problema, quando tento copiar algo para um pendriver ou HD externo do meu computador o processo meio que "trava no 100%", como nesta imagem, http://imgur.com/a/Lwc64 se eu esperar normalmente (99% das vezes), o arquivo é copiado com sucesso para o pendriver, porém, quando eu mexo com uma grande leva de arquivos (10GB++), fico perdido sem saber quanto tempo vai demorar, é meio agoniante rsrs, alguem poderia me ajudar com isto? obrigado.

Este problema ocorre somente com este pendrive?
Se não, os outros também estao no mesmo formato? VFAT/NTFS?
Em outra distribuição da o mesmo problema?

Sem descaso:

Estou acostumado demais com terminal. Principalmente com pendrive e arquivos muito grandes. Na dúvida eu dou kill no comando cp e já era.

Não, ja aconteceu com outros pendriver/HDs externos também.

Se não, os outros também estao no mesmo formato? VFAT/NTFS?

Agora que você citou, lembro que estes problemas somente ocorreram em dispositivos com partições NTFS/FAT, vou testar em dispositivos com o format ext depois

Em outra distribuição da o mesmo problema?

Ja aconteceu no ubuntu, no ano passado, tenho o o fedora e o Slackware instalado aqui, vou testar neles mais tarde.

que eu saiba, pode demorar mesmo, principalmente se forem arquivos muito grandes e em multitarefa.

Uma coisa que deixa mais lento ainda é usar FAT32 no pendrive, e copiar nele arquivos maiores de 3 ou 4 giga, ou com nomes muito longos.
se for assim, prefira antes formatar o pendrive em NTFS e não em FAT32.

Obrigado a todos que responderam, mas vou dar a melhor resposta para o @mateusgabriel, pois foi com ela que cheguei a conclusao que meu pendrive estava corrompido.
