Wireless no Ubuntu 13.04

Bom galera, tenho um notbook Compaq-presario CQ43-hp.
E recentemente abrir mão do Windows, e fiz a instalação do ubuntu 13-04.
Porém não consigo ter acesso ao wireless.
Alguém pode me ajudar ?

como assim vc não consegue ter acesso?

o nm fica tentando conectar e não consegue ou simplesmente não reconhece ?

Então annakamilla, ele não reconhece .
Eu tentei usar o WICD mas ele também não conseguiu ter acesso a placa.
