Como eu ativo a aceleração 3D da minha ATI??

Já tentei uma porrada de coisas!!

Verefique pelo comando fglrxinfo

export LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose

fgrlxinfo

os erros mais comuns são:

libGL error

* fglrxinfo gives: libGL.so.1: cannot open shared object file.

Veja a permissão de escrita:
ls -l /usr/lib/libGL*

libGL.so.1.2 deve estar "-rw-rw-r--".

se não estiver:
chmod o+r /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2

faça o link simbolico para:

ln -s /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2 /usr/lib/libGL.so.1

#fglrx_dri.so failed
Verifiquea permissão de escrita do DRI:
ls -l /usr/lib/dri/ |grep fglrx_dri
deve estar "-rw-rw-r--".

se não estiver:
chmod +r /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so

Outros problemas vc pode econtrar aqui a solução...

Tenta isso:
mkdir -p /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri
ln -s /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri

Tente com: ln -sf /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri
e, ceretifique-se de que o módulo fglrx está carregado com:

lsmod | grep -i fglrx
Se o comando não der nenhuma saída, tente:
rmmod radeon
rmmod drm
rmmod radeon
rmmod drm
(é repedido, porque um pode dar "mod in use" por causa do outro)
e depois:
modprobe fglrx

Parece que o módulo realmente não está sendo carregado!!

sua instalação está inconpleta...... o modulo é o fglrx.ko, normalment ele se encontra em /lib/modules/versão kernel/misc ou volatile

o driver tem que ser compilado para o seu kernel...

faça a instalaçãol de novo do driver da pagina da ati...

Realmente, era esse mesmo o problema!!
A instalação gráfica da ati não retornou nenhum erro mas já consegui resolver o problema:
