Ntop não inicia no Fedora

Possuo o Ntop instalado no meu firewall (Fedora Release 13). após a instalação, executo o comando #ntop , ele trava na seguinte linha:

Após aproximadamente 12 Horas parado na tela citada acima decidi apertar ctrl+z e executar o #ntop novamente. Agora aparece a seguinte mensagem de erro:

Alguém tem alguma ideia, sugestão ou informação que possa levar a solução do meu problema?

Desde já agradeço pela atenção.

Sugestão: Remova o ntop e instale novamente. Pelo menos a primeira mensagem deve sumir.

Já executei este processo (no rrdtool também), infelizmente mesmo assim ambos erros continuam aparecendo.

Amigo, também tive muita dificuldade para fazer o ntop rodar no CentOS e só consegui seguindo esse tutorial:

Como o fedora também é baseado em rpm e tem o yum, deve funcionar pra você, só prestando atenção para baixar os repositórios certos para o fedora.

Então pergunto, qual a versão do seu ntop? posta

rpm -qa | grep ntop


E observando as mensagens abaixo ele pede pra atualizar, veja

A versão que tenho qui é a ntop-3.3.10-3.fc13.i686

Pois é, uma versão obsoleta.

No meu entender se você atualizar seu ntop para a versão estável o problema é resolvido.

Segui o tutorial que você me passou, executando por este comando:
# /usr/local/bin/ntop -u ntop -L -d -i eth0 --set-admin-password=

Ele não apresenta nenhuma mensagem de erro, contudo ainda não consigo acessar pelo navegador.

E ao executar pelo comando:
# ntop

Surge a seguinte mensagem de erro (mesma de antes):

Isso occorreu durante a sua instalação?

No meu ao executar apenas o comando ntop, ele chega a gerar uns erros por falta da rrdtools, por isso utilizo o comando abaixo e ele funciona normalmente:

/usr/local/bin/ntop -u ntop -L -d -i eth0 --set-admin-password=senha

e para acessar no navegador use a porta 3000:

http://localhost:3000

Então, baixei e instalei a ultima versão do ntop (4.1.1) e ao excecutar # ntop o aplicativo não inicia e surge o seguinte log:

Alguma sugestão?

Você reiniciou o servidor? Notou se aquela primeira mensagem que estava aparecendo sumiu?

Pelo visto ele diz que há uma outra instância do ntop rodando. Cheque também as configurações dele, pois pode ter sido alterada com a nova instalação.
