Olá galera.

Alguém sabe dizer por que ocorre este problema no momento que eu executo o comando como root:

Há atualizações para Ubuntu 6.10 ainda? Ou o problema está no arquivo sources.list mesmo?

hum, não me lembro se o edgy é LTS(long time suported), se não for, o período de suporte dele já acabou.

outra coisa, pelo erro pode ser algum problema na rede, mas não posso afirmar isso.

vai por mim, use o 8.04 ou 8.10, realmente muito estáveis, e com um bom período de suporte ainda :)

O Edgy não é LTS e seu suporte foi encerrado mesmo em 25 de abril de 2008. Veja:

A rede local e acesso a internet estão funcionando! Mas será que o repositório de atualização para Edgy não existe mais?

Outra coisa... será que é confiavel e seguro efetuar uma atualização de distro de um servidor em produção através do comando "apt-get dist-install"?

Não há mais o repositório de atualização para Edgy! Eu conferi no link dos repositorios do Ubuntu:

E agora, tem como fazer uma atualização do Egdy (6.10) direto para o Hardy LTS(8.04)? Ou seria necessario formartar a maquina e instalar tudo novamente?

Vale a pena a atualização? Por quais questões?
