comprei uma multifuncional Deskjet-1510-series e ela nao esta escaneando!
o digitalizador da esta mensagem; "Nenhum digitalizador detectado"

Instale os pacotes abaixo. TORNE-SE ROOT, copie e cole um comando por vez no terminal:

apt-get update

apt-get install cups cups-pdf ghostscript ghostscript-cups hplip hplip-gui hpijs system-config-printer simple-scan foomatic-filters printer-driver-gutenprint printer-driver-postscript-hp

adduser SEU_USUARIO lp
adduser SEU_USUARIO lpadmin
adduser SEU_USUARIO scanner

wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hplip/hplip-3.13.11.run

sh hplip/hplip-3.13.11.run

SEU_USUARIO é seu usuário administrador (você).

Instale o pacote xSane. Vai instalar um bocado de coisa, permita.

sudo apt-get install xsane sane -y

instalei, ele procurou e deu esta mensagem; nenhum dispositivo disponivel.

Reinicie o sistema. Desligue e ligue a HP.
Chame o xSane e veja se encontra o Scanner.

ele imprime bem.
notei que a impressora é serie 1516 mas ela esta configurara como Deskjet-1510-series.
so instalei ela no ubuntu.
